Jim Yong Kim serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Capitalsave Investment Partners (CsIP), a role he assumed at the start of 2022. With a deep commitment to strategic leadership, Jim chairs the firm’s Executive Committee, guiding the firm’s strategic direction and overseeing its growth initiatives.
His vision for CsIP is centered around innovation, sustainability, and building enduring client partnerships. Under his leadership, the firm aims to deliver cutting-edge solutions and investments, particularly in the realm of Infrastructure, Agriculture, Real Estate, Put Options, and Emerging Markets.
In addition to his role as CEO of Capitalsave Investment Partners (CsIP), Jim is a Partner and Vice Chairman at Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), where he also chairs the Emerging Markets division. Since joining GIP in 2019, Jim has focused on infrastructure investments that drive sustainable economic growth while providing investors with strong returns. His dual roles at both GIP and CsIP allow him to leverage the synergies between the two organizations, particularly in the areas of agriculture, infrastructure, real estate, ESG, clean energy, and emerging markets investments.
As CEO of Capitalsave Investment Partners (CsIP), Jim has introduced innovative investment strategies rooted in the infrastructure expertise developed at GIP. By integrating these strategies into CsIP’s portfolio, he has provided clients with unique opportunities in infrastructure and real estate, offering long-term value and resilience in volatile markets. Prior to his leadership roles at CsIP and GIP, Jim served as the 12th President of the World Bank Group from 2012 to 2019. During his tenure, he was a key advocate for eradicating extreme poverty and promoting shared prosperity. His efforts focused on improving healthcare, education, and infrastructure, particularly in developing nations. His leadership at the World Bank cemented his reputation as a global expert in finance, development, and health, with a particular focus on creating inclusive and diversified economic opportunities.
Jim’s career has also spanned academia and global health. Before joining the World Bank, he served as the President of Dartmouth College, where he was known for his focus on expanding global learning opportunities and driving innovation in education. He also held faculty positions at Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health, where he contributed to the fields of medicine, public health, and global development.
